Hi we are thinking about getting a Cadac Chef 2 or Campingaz 400 for our caravan but I am a bit confused. After reading that we would need a regular if running directly from a propane bottle if we connect it to the caravan BBQ point is a regulator still required?

If you are running it off a BBQ point in the side of your caravan you do not need a regulator as the gas pressure is already regulated.

We've got the same cadac and have made up the hose with a quick release fitting on one end to attach to the cadac to make life easier and just check the length of hose you need as if I remember rightly it should be no more than 1.5m.

The hose can be as long as you want it to be, mines about 5m, its all about making sure no-one falls over it when you have it laid out and also making sure it does not get cut or damaged
