I'm 70 and have arthritis in most joints so for me it was about how easy it was. There's no doubt in my mind, comparing my folding camper poled awning (divorce in a bag) to an air awning with electric pump, awning pulley and screw in pegs it's a no brainer. Once it's in the rail, easy with the pulley, connect the pump and you then sit in a chair with a cup of tea, or beer, and watch it go up. Pegging out is the same for both and screw in pegs can make it easier for both types. As it happens for me it was quicker, but I'm not in a race TBH.
As it's a Kampa I can now sit and wait to see how much it leaks or if one of the air bladders explodes. But that's another story

Strange as both of us have severe arthritis in our arms, wrist and hands and we could not manage the weight of the Air Ace awning as too heavy plus all the pumping by hand. We also had numerous quality issues with it.

We did buy the electric pump to help, but the weight of the air awning was a killer

The Kampa is easy when using their awning pulley so the weight of the 390 grande isn't an issue for us. Arthritis is a bitch isn't it.
