I know this has come up a few times in the past from a google, but what are the latest idea on induction hobs? pref a twin one.
I am thinking of ditching the gas and double hob and going to an induction hob, main as less to carry in the van (I have a camper van, but set the kitchen up in the awning, as I have a Kampa one where I can cook outside but under the cover of the porch, so no smells in the awaning or van).
I only ever camp where there is hook up, normally 10amp or more, but this summer I am on one site for a few days with 6.5amp hook up.
I quite often cook with 2 pans as like my curry or pasta dishes, but one thing I have noticed is that the standard wind shield for the camping kitchens isn't wide enough for a double hob, or 2 singles next to each other, however are they really needed for induction hobs? does the shield help keep the pan a bit warmer and therefore cook faster?
Any recommendations from people for ones that aren't really high wattage but cook just as fast, or there abouts as a Camping Gaz double hob?
Cheers
