I’ve just bought a Cadac Safari Chef 2. I want to try the EN417 adapter on a canister rather than lug around a 4.5 gas bottle. The YouTube vid’s only show them being used with an attached burner. I’ve bought a Camping gaz regulator. Would this be any good with it or do I need another adapter to the gas pipe?   Can you link to any informative videos as I’m a visual learner PLEASE?????

There is a specific regulator to use with EN417 canisters on the Safari Chef 2.

At home I use our 6kg butane bottle and when camping take C500 Canister and the EN417 regulator.

Thank you VERY much Pulster. We used a very old Camping gaz bottle ( international 2.45 kg (?) out of desperation today and it worked with a Camping gaz connector I will look into the link to save weight.

Me again! I went to GoOutdoors to buy this regulator but they then told me they didn’t sell the appropriate cans for it. 😡. I had. 42 mile round trip for this!!! Do you have to use Cadac cans only for the Cadac Safari Chef 2?

No you don't. It's a standard fitting.

Coleman C500 Canisters (or smaller C300) sometimes are stocked in Halford.

Or you can get 6 x C500 for �25 from Amazon.

Thanks both. Much appreciated. When I went to the enquiry desk the young girl told me they didn’t stock this regulator. I told her I’d ordered it to collect later online so they must do. Rubbish customer service in my opinion.

Right. Ordered the regulator from Yorkshire Caravans and 6 Coleman canisters from (?) via Amazon.

Crossing my fingers they arrive before we leave for camping next weekend. 🤞🏻
