OH has just asked why you don't go to a site, look at the direction of other dishes and if necessary ask someone for help. That's what we would do tbh, rather than going miles.
Have you been to sites where other folk have satellite setups? Maybe, except for the one where someone set it up for you, they all had something blocking the signal?

Where can i go or Who can i go to see to teach me how to get a portable satellite system up and running. I have been at this for years now.
After all those years perhaps it’s time to forget DIY satellite and simply buy yourself a fully automated (just press a button) system for approx £2000 – job done!
Satellite TV can be a very technically complicated subject to be explained fully by just one person.
One such man that does spring to mind is Arthur C. Clarke, perhaps you should try to contact him!

It's not complicated! All one needs to know is to make sure nothing is blocking the signal, how to align the dish and if nothing happens on your tv (the numbers, 07D4, signal strength and quality markers) then you may need a bit of patience to carefully move the dish from side to side and up/down, assuming you have it pointed in the right direction and that there is nothing wrong with the equipment, cable, lnb, connection to tv.
Three things you need or maybe four .. a box that has been previously tuned in .. an app on your phone to point you in the general direction and a cheap meter to fine tune it ... most important the missus to call out when a picture appears on the TV
First time I set one up it took forever .. but the secret is very small movements when you pan the dish around.
OH usually finds the signal without an app or a meter, and he insists on opening a caravan window and if it's sunny wearing a cap so he can see the tv for himself.
Ok everybody thank you all so much for your help and your comments i'm done now. I am in touch with the people i need to be so onwards and upwards and once again Thank You All
