Hi Norris I have had my Status stand alone for years they are still available at all caravan outlets and there are some second hand on Ebay. I have just looked on the caravan talk forum regarding status omnidirectional aerial and the experts seem to say these aerials work better now than thay did originaly with the change over to digital signals. They also point out any poor connection or corrosion of the cable would render the aerial useless and this applies to all aerial types. It is vital your omnidirectional aerial has the pinnacle fitted and the threads are shiny clean to ensure good contact. I cant remember the model no of the stand alone but it is elongated triangular white plastic design with alloy fins at both sides they are not too costly.
Superb, thanks all, the Mrs will be able to watch her soaps !!!
