That's a coincidence! 
I did briefly toy with fitting a 90degree fitting to the rear of our fridge(as it is, the Fulham fitting protrudes the hose out quite a way) but when I looked, it wasn't just a case of unscrewing the fitting(and inserting an elbow), it would entail removing the back casing panel, the edges of which were retained under the top panel assembly. Possibly all "do-able", if in the mood for such a thing..but I just decided to leave it alone ( and there'd still be no guarantee that the thread-end of the "Fulham" fitting wasn't another non-UK fitting anyway!)
So if you can just get(or source) the "proper" hose from the seller, one that'd just wind straight in, and then just alter the non-fridge end of that if needs be, then that sounds by far the easiest.
Just to clarify what I recall from that other thread I mentioned, this chap said that he had drawn a blank when "contacting Dometic" (what or who, he meant by that exactly, I've no idea),as they "wouldn't sell him one" or even tell him what the item was that he required!..
I found that a bit strange to be honest..but I've always found that to get the correct answer, you need to have asked the right dept/people to start with, and maybe "Dometic in the Uk" just don't/won't deal with such things?
Hope you can get it easily sorted.
