We are getting back into camping after a few years holidays abroad. I'm looking at inflatable couch, chair or loungers but I'm unsure how good they really are.
My questions are, do they last? are they comfortable, do they stay inflated and for how long?

"Cheap" and "inflatable furniture" are words that shouldn't be put together. Take a look at the Outwell range or in my opinion the beat overall value Outdoor Revolution range.

We have two inflatable two seater couches and I hate them, the wife insists on dragging them to every site we go to, they never get used, are really uncomfortable and just end up stacked up with random stuff. Traditional fold out chairs are much better.

You say that as if they are two separate entities!
You can combine the two, y'know... in fact, I highly recommend it!

I sat in that very chair in Gary's shop the other weekend and can confirm it was very comfortable. Hadn't been expecting much in the way of back support, but it was very effective.

As with all things inflatable, you have to worry about punctures. Also, they take up a lot of space. With a traditional folding chair, if it's in your way you can just close it up a bit and move it, or fold it completely and chuck it to one side like an umbrella. I mention this because it's the one downside I've found about my fab new Helinox chair.
