The only one I have had was a Specialised cover, which I managed pretty well on my own.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I have had two front covers, one from Protec and one from Specialist Covers. They both worked on the same principle attaching to the awning rail on either side.
Of the two I think the specialist covers one which we have now is a bit better quality, but not much in it.
They both have adjustable straps which left quite a long length of webbing flapping about once adjusted. I cut this off and burnt the frayed end with a match.
As to fitting it is certainly easy to do on your own.I sit the cover on the A Frame which stops it getting dirty and locate each side separately. Once you have done it a few times it is certainly not something you struggle to do on your own.
One thing to remember, make sure the front is clean before you fit it, or you may end up with scratched windows.
I am also looking at front covers though I think the specialised one is a little bit steep.
the protec one looks ok, not cheap and nasty but not silly money either like the bespoke ones
But!!
All of the above are the same cover, same part No W368 with a different badge on the front
I too have to use things single handed as wife is disabled but I have fitted and removed them on my sons van with no problem just a little bit quicker with two maybe
Hi Malcolm,
I didn’t know which towing cover to purchase,
I went to the NEC last March to look for one,
It was going to be a Protec or a Specialised towing cover.
Not much different between both, in the end I went for the Protec cover which I’m more than happy with, it takes me around 5 minutes to put it on.
I got it at the show special price of £200 if I was getting the Specialised pro + it would have cost me £300 or the pro elite which was £400!
Pro Elite worth every penny, a first class product.
