Previously I have fitted a T-bar splitter in a pipe to run 2 items off 1 Propane bottle. Problem now is has anyone ever done 3?? Theory could be deemed as straight forward job BUT I've never seen it done ever. Would be a massive saving on new project if get right guidance please!

Yes, when we go tent camping (I do get out of my caravan and slum it sometimes!) we run a 3 way fridge (on gas!) and a Kampa 'oven with 2 hobs' type camping gas stove. We happily run both hobs & oven and fridge at same time. Regulator is hooked up to T piece with self sealing quick release couplings on outlets for flexibility and convenience.

Back to the caravan, mine like most caravans runs four devices from one cylinder, fridge, water heater, blown air heating and a cooker with 3 burner hob (I've got one electric hob, otherwise it'd be 4 hobs) plus grill and oven. Never had problem running multiple devices at same time, regulator supplies up to 1.5Kg/hour from either single Propane or Butane cylinder.

The governing factor is the volume of gas the regulator can supply, something around 1.3Kg/hour is typical for portable Calor propane regulators. So very much depends on what devices you want to run. At full flow you may find the cylinder chilling down significantly (frosting on outside), but unless you are using in winter months that shouldn't impact gas flow, Butane would be more susceptible to chilling effect reducing gas flow on less warm days. Just in case you don't know, LPG stops giving off gas when it gets cold, -42C for Propane and -2C for Butane, and that is the cylinder temp which gets cooler as gas is drawn off, not just general ambient temp.

We have a 3 way manifold inside the van where you can also turn off each appliance individually...

In the caravan we have a splitter which allows the heater, the gas rings and the oven to be to at the same time.

When we lived in Norfolk some years ago, there was no mains gas in the village so most houses used bottled gas. Didn't notice any problems with pressure drop, even in mid winter when using heaters and a full-size cooker. I can't see any problem at all when camping/caravanning, especially if you use propane rather than butane if you intend camping in very cold conditions. Otherwise butane's fine.

Just search 'caravan gas manifold' for plenty of choices
