Yes, Ratcatcher, whatever suits YOU best is the best type of awning. What suits me might not suit you, and vice-versa, so we all have our own choices to make. There is no one type that is "best" for everyone. Air or poled, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

All I said is that in my opinion air is the best type for US! of course it's not the best for everyone, I didn't say that

We have erected our new inflatable awning only once & struggled to put it up in its entirety.

I wonder if we should have removed the door/window sections first and then blown it up. Would we be able to get them back in in place?

OR zip in the sections when the awing is half inflated then continue inflating to full height?

Has anybody tried either of these options?

I would strip everything off it that detaches to make it as light as possible. Unfortunately the one we had came all in one piece which made it too heavy for us to manage easily. One of the things I like most about our current poled awning is that it comes in 5 pieces.
