Hi
I have just bought a used caravan. The previous owner changed their caravan every 3 years for a new one but applied a liquid winter protector each year and it was stored on their drive. We are having to use a storage facility and thinking whether to buy a cover to protect when not in use - the previous owner had mixed feelings about this as pros and cons for a cover. I would welcome any thoughts either way. Thanks

Unless you have overhanging trees etc I wouldn’t bother with one, a wash before and after winter should be more than adequate

Pro's... Its a nice clean van when your ready to go away.

Cons... Where do you store the cover which is now manky and harder to clean than just washing the caravan?

Just been to check my van in storage after all the winds etc over the past few weeks. Three van with covers are now hals covered and one van has a shredded cover. My van is grimmy but that washes off.

You don’t see manufacturers & dealers using covers, I just give my caravan a good wash & spray it with Wet & Forget before I put my caravan away for the winter, but it’s a personal preference.
