Hi all - we have always used a mattress protector, sheet and then duvet - just like at home. It has always been perfect but we are trying to cut down what we take and time to set up (a bit more touring camping this summer). What sleeping bags would you lovely lot recommend? Thanks

I can't give you any help re type of sleeping bag but have found that they vary in width, even a few inches makes a difference. We put the narrower bags underneath as a topper.

Yeah - really couldn't stand to feel too cramped. It's a double we'd like .

I wouldn't recommend you getting a double, with you both in when back to back esp, there will be huge air gaps, why not just continue with the quilt as you do now but put them in the vaccume bags you can remove all the air from? they go really tiny then, you can get them from asda and wilko, same with your clothes too and they really do pack down small and will stay damp free if you close the bag after you have got your clothes out, on pack up without ehu I have found that I can get about 3/4s of the sir out using an air bed pump

How does a sleeping bag take longer to set up than a duvet ? one flap and its on

Why replace something which is perfect! A duvet only take the same amount of room as a sleeping bag.

Outdoor Revolution Trio Twin Sleeping Bag. £46.
Bought this off Amazon to replace the expensive double we bought from Go Outdoors that was too cramped.
The Trio Twin is a fantastic sleeping bag roomy and snug. Like sleeping on air bubbles.
Just tried it out last week at Bridlington Site and it was lovely n warm on those cold nights.
