Hoping someone can help. We have just bought a cadac carry chef and want to use it with our campingaz 907 bottle. However we appear to have hit a problem as the cadac connector fits the cadac and not the bottle and the regulator that fits the gas bottle doesn't fit the cadac!
Has anyone else connected this type of bottle and if so, what connector do we need to get?
Any help gratefully received....desperate to try it out :)
Forgive me if I've misunderstood but my reading is you have 2 connectors, 1 fits your bottle & the other fits your Cadac.
If that's the case then can you not remove 1 connector & fit it to the other pipe?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
no, thats the one we bought, but the regulator connects to the gas cartridges rather than a camping bottle.
We thought about using dave's option above but the end is sealed so would have to be cut off. Just wondered if there was a different connector we should have bought. have done lots of googling, but nothing coming up so i think we will have to go down that route with pipe and jubilee clips
This is the one for a 907, which I'm pretty sure is the same as the one in the other link I posted.
------------- XVI yes?

If you have the the pipe & regulator for cartridge in the first link then cut the pipe with a sharp knife just behind metal ferrule on regulator then you can fit a 907 regulator as in second link using jubilee clip. Dip pipe end in boiling water to soften then new regulator nipple will slide ok then secure with jubilee clip.

Found what I need .... It's a 8521 from cadac ..... All I've got to do is find a supplier 🙄
That adapter is to connect a HP (High Pressure) Cadac Safari Chef which is designed to run off screw in cylinders to a LP (Low Pressure) gas cylinder so you need to check first if your Cadac is HP or LP.
The HP Safari Chef uses screw in canisters. The LP one works off any 2.8kPa supply but needs an adapter to fit it to an external BBQ supply.
We have an HP Safari Chef and I've been trying for ages to find a way to connect it to our external BBQ point on the van as we find it hard sometimes to get screw in canisters but when I ask if they will work on my set up they have invariably said they won't due to different fittings or they are not sure.
Consequently I've recently written to Cadac asking if their part 8521 will work on our external BBQ point and if not if there is any that will as I'd rather be safe than sorry and am waiting for a reply.
It's a complicated business for those who aren't knowledgeable about gas fittings like me so I echo the suggestion that you e-mail Cadac explaining exactly what you have and asking their advice.
thanks all...hubby has sorted it. we have used the regulator we had for the 907 and then fitted the cadac adaptor screw thing on the other end of the hose and its working well now. very happy camper...the pizzas are amazing!
