Hello I wonder if I could ask. The cooker in my caravan has rusted and looks pretty old (21 years). I need to replace it. Can I just buy a normal domestic cooker or does it have to be a proper caravan oven. Thanks.
If you can find a domestic cooker that will fit it should be fine as long as you can fit it securely. However, you will have to have it converted to run on LPG rather than natural gas supply, which will mean changing the jets in all the burners. Some come supplied with a conversion kit.
if you buy some stuff called pink stuff in the tub, not the bottle version, I think giving it a good clean over using that you may well be very surprised how clean and rust free your oven will be, worth trying for the sake of £1
Thanks everyone. After a long and frankly uphill struggle and looking at everything I bought a new Thetford Caprice cooker. Fits and works like a dream.
