Are saying that you get nothing on the TV in the caravan from the satellite receiver, not even the menu of the satellite, or “no satellite” signal message on the caravan TV screen, if this is the case, then as I mentioned before, it’s either a faulty HDMI cable, or faulty HDMI socket on the caravan TV, I don’t think it could be anything else causing the issue.
Getting a strong signal on your satellite meter does not always indicate that you are receiving the correct satellite unless it can be set specifically for Astra2, the Satlink 6906 meter has a 3” Screen and will display the channels from Astra 2, so when say Sky News or Ch5 pops up you know for sure that you have found the correct satellite quite a cheap meter to buy at around £50, as I used to work for Sky some 15 years ago, I still have my RoverSat SDM1 meter, no TV screen on that, just LCD display but it will only lock onto Astra 2, so again it makes finding the correct satellite very easy, that particular model of meter was produced exclusively for Sky engineers, about £500 a pop at the time.
