Does anyone use a mattress topper in their caravan? We were thinking of getting a couple of singles to make the beds more comfortable and wondered if they were any good.

On my last Motorhome the mattress was very hard so I bought a piece of memory foam , about 2 inches thick from my local foam factory, worked a treat and made a huge difference.
I think I paid about £20 , a lot cheaper than a new memory mattress.

We have a lovely memory foam mattress on top of our fixed bed so it doesn't matter that it is pretty huge to store. In the front, we use a non-foam topper, rather like a very thick duvet on top of the seating when we have a family member stay with us. They raved about it so much the bought similar ones for their beds at home. We bought them from Dunelm. It is pretty easy when not in use to squash back in it's case or stuff under the seat as it compresses quite easily.

We have a Duvalay mattress topper on our fixed bed which was quite expensive. We also bought a cheap topper from B&M for my mum when she comes away with us and I would have to say that the B&M one is just as good, if not better, than the Duvalay at a fraction of the price.

We've got toppers on all the beds, and one for the caravan, from Dunelm. As we havent got a fixed bed, it rolls up and stashes under the 'sofa'. Wouldnt, or couldnt, sleep on a caravan 'seat-bed', without one.

the one thing i have found with my topper that no one ever mentions is that you feel warmer in bed so ideal really for those colder nights, I never used to sleep without any covers over me but quite often now the duvet is only ever over half my body and my legs/feet are out of the cover in warmer weather. I bought a cheap one from Argos just to try which on the underside the foam is cut into little pyramid shapes so whether that is why i find it warmer (the cut shapes creating air pockets which trap body heat) Im not sure
