We gave up on air beds back in the 1970’s fast forward to 2008 and we purchased two ThermaRest DreamTime XL’s to be fair they are more of a sleep system than just a SiM, and all I can say is that they do, what it says on the tin !

The DT’s did go EOL for a short period, but have since returned with a new improved version, if that was at all possible.

at Mucker, I like it hard, and am referring to my SIM, of course!

Joking aside, I like firm mattress, and am used to Orthopaedic ones, as I don't like that sinking feeling when I get into a bed.

When I was spec'ing my van in the office of the company carrying out the conversion, I spotted two difference types of foams, and asked what they were.

One was the standard foam for mattress, and the other was a firmer one, and immediately without hesitation, I asked for the firmer foam to be used instead.

We have a 12cm double outwell dreamboat sim, and two decathlon air bases, its more comfortable than our bed at home! It was blooming expensive, but if you get the sleeping situation right, it makes camping much more fun.

We have exactly the same, unbelievably comfy and worth every penny

We use the lovely Quechua air mattresses too under our sims and have tried many other types but find these best, as are springy and comfy rather than the hardness of camp beds.
