Son put our new Milenco Wraith wheel lock on our van for us, unfortunately when we have come to remove it to take caravan to be cleaned we can not remove it because he forgot to tighten up the screw which stops the barrel spinning, we are due to take our daughter and grandchildren on holiday in two weeks time and need to get it off.....anyone with any ideas? We have tried to tighten the screw but cannot get at it as it is on the wheel and no space.....we are desperate as we have had two holidays cancelled due to COVID and this is all paid for and the girls are really excited. We have asked at the outlet where we bought it and also where we bought the caravan from and store it but they were no help. In the past we have just used a cheap wheel lock but thought as we could afford a better one why not, beginning to wish we hadn’t bothered now. Any advice will be much appreciated.
I'm not familiar with the Wraith, but I wonder is it possible to get a tyre lever or something similar in between the Wraith and the wheel, then put some leverage on it while someone attempts to undo the lock. Probably need to put some insulating tape on the lever in order not to mark the rim.
OR, would it be possible to jam the barrel with a screwdriver, or similar, whilst turning the key?
Sorry I can't be much help regarding getting it off, but that sounds like a very poorly designed lock to me if it relies on someone remembering to do a screw up before putting it on, or it will prevent an authorised person getting it off. With my memory I'll know never to buy one of them! Expensive doesn't always mean better I have found.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that the screw is to prevent the barrel turning. Looking at it on You Tube, I think it is only used when adjusting the "shims". I have the Al-ko wheel lock, and the barrel just turns round on it, and there are times when I have to hold my finger on the barrel to stop it turning whilst turning the key.
Yes we are aware of which way you turn the key to unlock it, we have also tried holding the barrel still with fingers, but it doesn’t work. All turning the key does is either tighten the thing closer to the wheel or loosen it, but just won’t unlock. Will see what Milenco have to say if they respond to my email that is....😞
Is it possible for you to jam a small screwdriver, like a small electrical screwdriver, in between the barrel and the main body of the Wraith - it would need to be jammed well home - and then turning the key?
We got our other son who is a mechanic to come and sort it out, he has now tightened the screw and put it on correctly so it can be removed with ease........so pleased as our holiday could have been ruined. Thank you for asking Eddie12
hi without hi jacking this thread.. thou problem is solved ,, just need confirmation of measurements for a wheel clamp , the wheel is approx 64 cm across, so is the sale pitch for one as a 13 / 15 inch just half the diameter of the actual wheel? tia
------------- That's not a dog....... That's a Schnauzer
Not entirely sure what you mean, but wheel sizes always refer to the diameter of the wheel-rim, (ie., not including the tyre). Therefore, they could be 13,14, or 15 inches etc. Does that help?
