I went to my local camping shop today and they had the coleman gladiator fyrechampion stove for £79.99, I thought it looked super for the price, however the lady in the shop put me off saying that the gas canisters can be hard to get hold of (then tried to sell me a stove for £139.99

Having come home and done some research it seems that the coleman canisters use the cga 600 connection, if this is correct could we buy blowtorch canisters from screwfix or wherever (which are also a few quid cheaper!!) and use them with no issues?

Hoping to get an answer fairly quickly as we are camping on friday so need to sort something by then!!

I can answer my own question here and hopefully help anyone else who wants to know the same question, we've been and bought the stove this afternoon and a couple of propane canisters from Toolstation
( https://www.toolstation.com/propane-gas-cylinder/p13125 ) and they work!! So at £9 each Vs £16 each for the Coleman ones the lady in the shop wanted me to buy I'd say that's a bargain!

We have a Coleman stove and I have used plumbing propane with cga 600 Connection with no problem.

Wow, and I thought CampinGaz gas was expensive, but even at £9.29 for the toolstation cylinder, it still works out at double the price of CampinGaz, although I do get the convenience of a compact 400gm cylinder, so probably a price worth paying for some.
