Hi there, we've ventured out camping in a tent for a few years now. Now, we want to have a go at car camping, so we can do things like the Scotland 500 road, where we would be only staying in one place for a night or two. Our car is long enough to sleep in, we can fit our self inflating mat in the back...was going to see about getting a teardrop camper as a longer term idea for the two of us....but, so we can try it, I want an awning that will more or less fit our car.....that we can maybe still use if we invest in a teardrop? Anyway, I was just looking for insight, anyone tried this? Anyone found a reasonable awning that was easy and quick to erect? They all seem a bit too tall for my vauxhall zafira?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Yeah, I saw that too bobmel.....its a question of working out what we actually want the awning for I guess ? You know, quick cuppa shelter from the dreaded midge....or actually a place to dress....maybe camping toilet in there....which I think is more likely, though I like the last one posted.......remote location, living in your bag looking out at the beautiful night sky......without being eaten alive by the midges? .......might get ine of them anyway 😁.....but im still on the hunt for an awning....
Update, found this, looks perfect to fit right up to the side of the car? Anyone tried one? Its very similar to the much admired Quencha base seconds? I'm thinking if needed I could throw a tarp over any gap between thd two and call it good....
