We have the inflatable version.....but only had it up a few times in France so far. I chose the inflatable over the poled version so that it could cope with any wind as we have an inflatable awning and have thrown that at every weather possible without any issue, so took the same view with this as it is a bit more of a parachute due to having no walls.

We got it for when the weather is generally good as we never seem to use the awning in the day, and just need a bit of shelter for the table and chairs and even the washing wurligig.

I am really impressed with it so far. Its kept the rain off of everything so far as long as its only vertical rain, and was fine with the mega downpours in France !

I would be happy to put ours up in a bit of wind as it solid once you have worked out the best angle to put out the legs. I.e. they are not vertical as such, you need to put the feet a little closer to the caravan than at the top just to get the fablric to sit right and allow the rain to run off. I guess they were made for campers which are a little shorter.

Got the Fiamma canopy, very pleased with it so far.
None of them are meant to withstand much wind so would be advisable to put away in such circumstances. I should imagine the Vango you are looking at is a similar material to a normal awning but a fiamma one is much thicker stronger material.
Have you looked for a 2nd hand one - might be a good time now end of season for some?
