Hi,
I'm after some advice please, were looking at getting a new camping stove, preferably a dual hob type one. I use c500 gas at work to make brews, I was wondering if there's any stoves that I could use these with? Or would they use too much gas while away that it wouldn't really be worth it? We've only got a small hatchback so fairly squeezed for space without taking an x.kg gas bottle.
We only really go for 4/5 days and use it for cuppas, bacon sarnies etc, nowt too fancy, ha!
Thanks in advance.

If you pick up one of these, you'll be able to use whatever hose fed stove takes your fancy.

Do you go EHU? If so, a portable induction hob is an easy, efficient and compact option. Super-easy to clean too!

I would agree, however, it has disadvantages in that it only has 1 burner and one would need to use it under cover when it is raining, unless it is built so that it is waterproof.

The 2-burner hob I bought from a supplier of catering equipment for my pop up kitchen events is rated at 3kW maximum and not for outdoor use.

Hi

I actually use the CampinGaz 400, a great bit of kit, I find that when it's closed over it slides neatly under the seat of the car or in the corner somewhere.

This one might be worth a look.

To be honest, we manage just fine with our Tefal single hob, but we've always used it under cover in a tent or caravan awning.

I think we've gone a bit soft in our approach to cooking over the years; we've previously lugged gas bottles of all sizes and a variety of stoves, plus Cadac and Cobb and Weber, in our search for easiest and best. Nowadays, there's just the two of us and we always go EHU so use the induction hob, Remoska and small electric kettle for everything. It makes cooking and washing up so much easier, but does sometimes feel like a bit of a cheat!
