Hi all
After a couple of seasons on a seasonal pitch, hopefully, we will be touring again for the coming season.
So we are looking for an air porch awning mostly for weekend trips.
It doesn't need to be massive just big enough to kick our boots off, clean our small dog down and maybe store a couple of chairs
Would appreciate recommendations based on quality and ease of erection.
All air awnings are erected very much the same way except that some only have one release valve usually in the centre leg and others have one in each leg tube such as the Kampa range. However, to decide what size you need, the best way is to measure along the caravan from the door to either past the window or before it so that the porch awning vertical poles seals out the draught. Due to the acrylic plastic windows not being flat, if the pole falls directly across the window there will be a gap above and below the window and any wind will cause the awning material to rub the surface of the plastic window which will result in a difficult repair to remove the scratches.
Outdoor Revolution which has a intelligent pressure relief valve to prevent rupture of air tubes in hot weather. Many makes do not have this and have read many reports of air tubes splitting. Had ours now 5 years and optional rear poles and cannot fault it .

Air awnings are heavier and less readily available than 'normal' porches, generally more expensive, and can't easily cope with sloping pitches that well.
Personally, I would buy a conventional porch, especially for w/e trips and save money, but its your choice
We have an Isabella full awning and a Kampa Fiesta awning for longer breaks but are looking for an air awning purely for speed and convenience.
We have a selection of weekend sites that we use which on the whole are very flat so slopes wouldn't be a problem
Looks like i will have a bit of time to look into the recommendations.
Kampa for me I have a rally air pro 330 2016 model, there are smaller sizes, this awning has only one inflation point, I have seen people with awnings that have seperate inflation poles, we have 3 small dogs and it is a perfect size for us
After reading the above post by cliffbrown I didn't make it crystal clear in my first post that although we have a Kampa 260 air pro there is actually only one inflation point (centre leg) but all 3 legs have deflation points fitted which lets the air out quicker when deflating. An important point to remember is to close all three deflation ports prior to inflating the next time as you may initially think that you have a punctured tube.
As well is two words!
