We have 2 from our previous caravan (Sterling Elite Explorer) which will not fit our Coachman VIP 575. According to the Al ko website we can buy something to make them fit, but what? OH seems to think that we need new wheel drums.

You just need to buy the appropriate "insert", and use the lock mechanism out of one of your existing locks.

You need the Red lozenge part of lock only keeping the present key and lock. Look on the red lozenge you will see a number. Look on the Alko site and you will find a selector for different wheels. Put your caravan details year model in and it will tell you the lozenge number you require. You can buy new from Alko or look on Ebay for the number you need, as you often find second hand ones advertised there. You could then also sell yours on there.

Just realised that the picture of no. 47 on the Al Ko website shows a wheel with about 8 spokes, our van wheels only have 5, so what's going on? Will any 5 spoke 15" lock kit or insert fit does anyone know? IGNORE THIS, wrong info.

You need the correct lozenge, its not called an insert. They fit snugly in between the spokes so will be made to fit a particular wheel.
