As you cant guarantee the weather (to be 'warm'), the sleeping bags need to be good ones. You can always open it up if its too warm, but you cant get warmer if its cold. Tents are nothing like bedrooms, as im sure you appreciate, and being cold through the night wrecks the experience. I would have any other 'child essentials' would come from your home. Your biggest task is keeping them entertained, and not too noisy on an evening. Tents are wafer thin, and 'neighbours' can hear a gnats fart at fifty paces from within!

Also please be aware that once you turn on a light in your tent after Dark, it has the effect of providing a Shadow Show for everyone around you, and they can see and Hear just about every move you make, it can be hilarious at times!
If your children need a night light to be left on, then use a low level battery operated Tea light, which should just about give you enough light to see without much of a shadow problem.
Before going to bed at night, please ensure that no Gas appliances have been left on, and if possible turn the Gas bottle off using the screw valve on the top of it. Always try and Cook outside your of your tent, and never BBQ inside one, or leave a used one inside to cool down after use. They are still capable of giving off toxic fumes for many hours after the flames appear to have totally died down, and it’s just not worth the risk.
Take a selection of Peg types, including a few Rock pegs designed for use in very hard ground, and a Decent Mallet, plus a. Peg puller tool for removing them all when you leave.
I hope it all goes well for you and that the weather is Dry and Kind, often extra kit can be found for sale at Car boot sales, and most leading supermarket stores hold a Summer Camping and Outdoor leisure event selling gear at fairly cheap prices, including the Aldi and Lidl. Stores. A large rinsed out 3 litres Orange Squash container makes a free handy water bottle to keep inside the tent to cut down on the amount of time you have to walk to the Tap to fill the kettle, especially if it’s raining or during the night!
