Hi all,

I've struggled with this issue for a while. We have an 18 month old toddler who sleeps in a high-walled cot at home. When camping, we've tried using a travel cot, but it's not really ideal (they're a bit too bulky once set up). We also have an inflatable bed with higher sides that's OK but it's in storage so I can't get it out for our next trip. I need to find a better solution. Is there something cheap and good that I'm missing as a possible solution? Thanks!!!

Dog bed!! What a great idea! I will investigate, and that's really brilliant as a solution! Thanks so much :)

I'd be tempted to get a self-inflating mat. They are comfortable and being low to the ground they have no risk of the toddler falling off and there is nothing to fall off.

We took our 20 Month old camping last week bought an inflatable mattress with raised sides and he slept through the night, something he only occasionally does at home!

When my kids were young we used a folding carry cot when camping.
