Are there any 'sticky' posts here in the forum that deal with fridges? Specifically I have an Electrolux RM4200 that is refusing to fire up on gas. Saw one old post that (from memory) mentioned cleaning up the air mixer & burner, and repositioning the piezo ignition, but no link to any 'how to' guides ...
Just back from our first trip in our 'new to us' '96 Pullman - was an absolute blast! Just need to get the fridge sorted now for cold beers ;-)
Thanks Cliff - I had assumed that the gas was ok as we were using the gas hob without issue - and, yes, I had turned the tap on in the cupboard under the sink (or at least I'm pretty sure I had ;-) ...) so first on the list of things to check was going to be the ignition circuit.
Will look later at maybe sliding the fridge out of its housing - was hoping there might be a thread somewhere on this forum that details how to remove/refit it (but I couldn't find one, hence the original post).
As regards 'professional' servicing, are there any recommendations for companies around the Hull area (East Yorkshire)?
Thanks!
If you take the lower vent cover off this will give you access to the burner you can check that the ignition is sparking and you can clean the burner with a paint brush
Excellent Cliff! Thanks!
When you say 'lower vent cover', is that external (on the outside of the trailer, set into the side panel) - or is it a cover on the fridge itself (that's only visible once the fridge is pulled out from under the hob/sink unit)?
Is there a pm option in the forum or on the user profiles so I can let you have my email address for that service manual?
No PM option ask Admin to forward your email address.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
