Hi All,

Looking for some advice on a gas cooker to replace an old Coleman Dual Fuel, looking at the Cadac-2-Cook 2 Pro at the moment. (https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?s=440107&v=3549&q=211961&r=62066=&p=https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15910193/cadac-2-cook-2-pro-deluxe-stove-15910193)

am I correct in thinking that we also need this Cadac single regulator and hose (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cadac-EN417-Hose-and-Regulator/dp/B00481D8JM/ref=bmx_1/26........)

Then a 500g propane\butane gas canister, can these be recycled\swapped out or refilled easily enough or only the larger ones?

Thanks for any pointers, new to all this gas malarkey,
Steve.

I've got a Cadac 2 Cook Pro and just have it connected to a standard calor 7kg bottle with appropriate regulator for propane or butane and the hose hooked up via quick release cadac gas fitting. Then depending on which gas bottle I take can just switch the short hose with regulator attached. You can use a much smaller bottle like you pictured or a 907 style, you just need the correct regulator for the bottle you use.

May I ask what was wrong with the OP's Coleman Dual Fuel stove please?

I am a big fan of this stove and had one for a number of years myself, sold it when I changed from tenting under canvas to a tin tent.

Thanks 243

DK - Hi, I really like the Coleman, had it for 12 years and we bought it 2nd from someone, the case is cracked where it fell from the back of their motorbike and it's still worked fine for all those years.

My wife on the other hand finds the whole lighting process a right pain and over the years it does seem to have gotten less powerful, maybe from a lack of maintenance and using unleaded?

Cheers,
Off out today to test out the Cadac :)
Worto.

Thanks for the feedback.

Just wondering if you have ever replaced the feeder tube, as I had to due to wear and tear - the thin needle that regulated the flow disintegrated.

I think that all as good as one another. I recommend one of the many which is generic enough to take any gas, just connect the hose from the canister and away you go. I also recommend getting one with a build in piezo lighter and two burners.
