Was in Halfords today and seen the 30lt compressor fridge for £250 that was mentioned on here a while ago, for the money it looks excellent value, obviously not as robust as my Waeco CF but the Halfords offering looks decent enough.
12/24v but does not come with mains adapter which is not an issue as you can pick up a 24v 2amp brick of eBay for under £15 that would be perfect for running of the mains when needed.
Well done to Halfords for sourcing an excellent value product, if my 12 year old Waeco CF25 ever packs in, I will be of to Halfords to buy one,
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Yep, Blueexpo97, but I do not think anyone had seen the Halfords fridge in the flesh which is why I did the post, and for £250 it is a steal, my local Winfields now has the Waeco CDF25 at £700, which is pretty much the same thing as the Halfords unit but almost three times the price and less capacity, I think I know which one I would buy in the blink of an eye.
Or of course folks could just buy the 240v Tristar for under £200.
------------- XVI yes?

Yep Blueexpo97 but the Tristar is a totally different unit in that it is of course mains only and not 12/24v also the Tristar is a much larger unit not just because it’s 38lt but also due to using a larger mains compressor, compared to the smaller compressor found in 12/24v units.
I do realise it’s a totally different unit, but it’s a corker of a unit in all respects for the price.
What’s not to like.

Yep, but some would argue why not just buy a table top domestic compressor fridge like what Aldi was selling recently for £70 the size is comparable to the Tristar.
To be fair I have a similar unit to the Tristar in the form of the Mobicool C40, and that was a snip at £139 including shipping from Obelink back in 2013, and is still going strong.
