We have an Outwell Appetizer 2 burner stove (takes EN417 threaded cartridges such as Coleman C500) and whilst it's a bit basic it works well and we've have had good success with it.
The only problem with it though is the short length of hose that is provided between burner and gas cannister (only 50cm). This makes it hard to place the cannister somewhere I would consider a "safe" distance from the burner. I'd be much happier with a 80cm or 1m hose so the cannister can be placed on a shelf below the burner away from the stove and all the pots/pans etc.
I have seen hoses for a Cadac stove but these come with a regulator which I assume is no good as the Outwell doesn't have a regulator that I can see, just an on/off tap (see pictures below).
Does anyone have any idea where I could find a longer hose that fits these stoves?
I've googled gas hose 3.2mm and there's loads. You may need to see if a friend whose an engineer or who has a garage load of tools can connect it to your connectors. Most of the hose I saw was orange. Does this make a difference? You can buy it with connectors, plain or just plain and connectors to be added. A camping shop will probably help you but you'll end up buying (supporting them) it there as they gave you advice. Our hardware store in town would have all bits. Would come up with pipe and all kinds of connectors.
