We have a Lunar Meteorite 2 berth and want a porch awning but even a 2 metre one will cover half a side window. The van came with a Dorema full awning but we want something very small just to take our wet coats and shoes off. Any suggestions please?

Really don't think there are any awnings out there on general sale that are less than 2 metres wide.

The larger of my two porch awnings (Kampa Air 330) partly covers a window, I don't see it as a great problem.

I ensure both window and awning are dirt/grit free so there is no scratching of window. The 'gap' created above and below window is not big enough to be a real problem (Kampa Limpits draw awning edge/seal close to van wall). There are plenty of other windows in my van that can be opened if ventilation needed.

Been using it like that for nearly 4 years now, and not found it to be any kind of an issue. Can't really see why some folks make such a thing about awnings over windows, it's not ideal, but it's not a great problem in my experience.

Thanks for the replies. Another issue that may or may not be a problem (and forgive my ignorance but if I knew the answers I wouldn't be requesting help). Porch awnings seem to quote a minimum height of 235cm but our van is 210cm high. Any advice would be welcome.
