Hello,
Does anyone know anything about the Outwell Fulmar cool boxes? I've been researching cool boxes (for far too long) and will probably buy a Coleman Xtreme 28l but I've also seen the Outwell for about the same price. I've discounted all the expensive brands like Yeti and the Igloo Maxcold 40 feels a bit too big. There are 2 of us and we normally camp for 2 or 3 nights.
Any tips about the Fulmar or any other suggestions welcome, even if it's just to tell me to buy the Coleman!! Thank you

Just be aware the Coleman Extreme 28QT is 26L, not 28.

Capacity aside, I'd go with the Coleman, due to having an extremely acceptable experience with ours (The larger 52QT/48L version) before we went with an electric fridge, and would highly recommend.

I'd also wonder how "noisy" those clips are on the Outwell, as I often go in there before 6am, when almost everyone else is still sleeping, and would appreciate me making my first brew quietly!

Thank you. I did worry about the plastic clips on the Outwell, more from a breaking them perspective. I'm not in too much danger of a 6am start but remind me not to camp next to you, especially of you have a whistling kettle
My only worry with the Coleman is the 26l capacity, especially with all the advice to add lots of frozen bottles of water. Doesn't feel like they'll be much room left but I don't want a huge thing as it's already a struggle getting everything in the car. Maybe I need a bigger car!!

A little quiz for you. One of the following statements is false. Guess which one...

A/ Mucker1884 dumped his whistling kettle... and outdoor gas bottle etc... early in his camping career, for the luxury of 21st Century indoor electric appliances, what with him being a quick learner, and not liking having to stand outside when it got a bit nippy!

B/ 6am has been proven to be the best part of any day on a campsite, when every other human is silent, whilst nature bursts into life.

C/ Nobody, in the history of UKCS, has ever given consideration to getting a bigger car due to buying more and more camping gear... ever!

I like your style! I am still faffing about with my cool box decision but will press the buy button soon and all will be cool!
