Just wondering what kind of lighting people use in their awning. We are just about to collect our Pennine Fiesta and it has a decent size awning, so just thinking the best way to light it without it being overly bright.
Thanks

We use the Kampa Sabre light system which are LED lights that can be used by a remote control switch. It's best to begin with a starter kit which you may find adequate but you can add more lights to the link (up to 3) if you need the awning brighter. The link below is for illustration purposes only but at least it gives you an idea what the starter kit incorporates to start you off.

Up to now we have just used the awning light but have just changed to the Kampa light sabre system, the awning light isn’t the brightest and I find that because it’s next to the awning door the insects gather at night, so my thinking is that if I move the Kampa lights to the front of the awning then the flies and mosquitoes won’t gather at the side of the awning

We have the Kampa sabre system. We use them at the front of the awning to try to keep the flies and other critters away for the the caravan door. It does work to certain degree but still get the odd one or two inside when you open the door.

Back to the kampa sbare lights they are an excellent bit of kit. Great that you can use remote control to turn them on and off if you're in the caravan and also control the brightness too from dim to very bright.
