When empty 6 kg bottles are going for £40 plus on the likes of ebay and Gumtree, who is going to let Calor have them back for a Tenner or free to the local recycling centre?
Anyone has any empty Calor gas bottles around that they do not want, I would suggest putting them up for sale.
FB marketplace, for one, is littered with gas bottles of all brands and sizes. Anyone desperate, may also find some half or 3/4 full for sale.

Canal wharfs usually have them.
Will they sell to non-boaters?

Just got a 3/4 full 13kg propane + regulator for £40 off FB. Should keep my bbq going for a few months. I call that a good deal, as i didnt have a 13kg to swap come the time. And these seem to be more available in the outlets than 6kg.
