Hello all I’ve got a query if anyone can give me any information.

I use a CADAC Safari chef when camping occasionally, plus I have two really useful stoves that screw direct to the gas cartridges.
All use the standard Screw cartridges.

I’ve recently bought via free adds a GAZ two ring burner for an excellent price in fact advertised
“AS NEW” this unit has a fixed hose and regulator that is dedicated to the Camping GAZ click fit cartridges.

My query is regarding if there is a dedicated conversion Adapter that I can buy to enable my CADAC screw type cartridges to accept the click on regulator that is fitted to the two ring unit.

I would like to keep my gas options to just the one type of cartridge if possible.

I’ve found on the internet an adapter that works the opposite way from what I want but not one that would allow me to use the Click regulator with the screw cartridge😐

No problem really I’ll just have to carry both types if not but I thought it would be worth asking the question on this forum.

(NOTE TO SELF:- Always check the regulator type before buying bargains from free adds🙄)

Best wishes to all
Brian

If there's a hose attached to the two ring unit, I'd get a Cadac EN417 regulator, a quick release coupling and an extra quick release nozzle. Then you can swap your new stove between EN417 and Campingaz in a few seconds.

Hello Tim.
Thank you for your reply. Your idea seems to be an excellent way around the situation.
I did think that a ready made adapter was going to be a bit of a “long shot” if I’m honest.
I’ll order up the parts you suggest and make the necessary amendments to the equipment. I already have the CADAC Screw on Regulator and hose that I use with my Safari Chef.
I’ll also get myself a tin of the leak detector spray it will be no effort to frequently check all the Joints for leakage.

Glad that was helpful - I've been using similar for a while. One caveat though: I once had my Cadac power pack duo topple over because of the weight / stiffness of the hose. It sent liquid gas up to the stove with quite spectacular results. Worth getting one of those clip on stabilisers or securing the canister to something vertical!
