Hi all,
We are looking to replace our caravan porch awning and are having difficulty finding a new one so just wondering if anyone can help us. We want …..

Lightweight fabric
Single pole type system, not air
Zip out side panels to allow an annexe to be attached.

The one we have at the moment is a Kampa Fiesta but it’s looking a bit sad now.
Outdoor Revolution used to make one called an Easi Porch but I think they stopped making it years ago. There are a couple on eBay but can’t find them anywhere else.

Does anyone know of any others which might fit our remit.
TIA

Hi Mick,
Yeh we looked there a while ago, they had plenty on display but none which ticked all our boxes. We also had a drive out to Lowdhams at Huddersfield a few weeks ago as they used to have a great range too but we’re shocked to find the place resembled the Marie Celeste. No caravans, no motor homes & a shop with just a few oddments 😞

Im surprised there was owt there at all. I thought it had totally bit the dust. You could do worse than wander round the next site you stop at and take note of what other folk have got. You might find just the make you need.
This helped me a while back, in reverse. I was dead set on a particular awning, (cant recall exactly what, now) and spotted an old couple using one on a site we landed at. After looking around it, it became obvious there were one or two drawbacks i hadn't anticipated, so it saved me wasting my brass on one. Hence i ended up with a Kampa Pro instead.

Have you looked at this:

http://www.sunncamp.co.uk/products/show/1808

It's a grown up version of the basic Swift Deluxe 260 SC which I have as my 'short stay' awning. That is lightweight, very easy to erect. Only comment is the mudflaps and anchor points seem to require an awful lot of pegging out! Nowhere near the quality, or robustness, nor I suspect the longevity of my heavyweight airbeam Kampa porch, but then a fraction of the price, but it serves my purposes well enough.

TBH, these designs seem quite generic, and many brands seem to have a version, some with slightly more features, or heavier weight fabric than others.

We have just had an email to say that Lowdhams, Huddersfield is closing which probably explains the fact the place is nearly empty.

We have a Sunncamp Swift porch for short trips which is easy to put up and lightweight but doesn’t have zip out sides and doesn’t take an annex.
