I’m contemplating either the Coleman Basalt or Outwell Campion Lux. Anyone tried either? Or recommendations for any other ones. Thanks.

I bought an Outwell double sleeping bag over tens years ago. I think it was about £130 at the time and my girlfriend thought I was mad. It is still in nightly use when we camp and is our staple sleeping choice in our camper van. This link is the closest I can find to the one we have although they have obviously changed the design since we bought ours..

First impressions when we bought it was, oh.. it's a bit thin. I did actually contemplate sending it back but we went with it anyway. Is it warm? surprisingly warm considering though if I was camping towards the winter time then it is probably not ideal.

We have used ours in our Outwell Trout lake cotton tent, our 4m Bell tent and in our camper van and have never felt cold. If anything, I often throw it off in the night. These experiences are obviously subjective and no two people are going to feel the same about temperature but I personally love ours and even after all these years, there is nothing wrong with it at all. Zips still work well with no other issues to report.

Agree with that, don't do it!

I hate double duvet at home for the same reason - 2 singles = Bliss!

I purchased 2 singles of the same style, then zipped them together to make a double (need to be rectangle style). Gives you options to have as a double or 2 x singles, and they fit in the washing machine easier when they need a wash.

I've done this in the past. Much more versatile option.
