Could anyone recommend a good sat nav app for touring because the sat nav in my car likes so send me places not for caravans and its a pain thanks for any help
I use Co Pilot, you can put in your car and caravan dimensions. Still use a map as well and keep another phone on Google maps. In my opinion nothings infallible.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
We use the Avtex Garmin with our rig dimensions loaded in. That said, with an 8ft wide van we check the route with AA map and Google earth to highlight any potential pinch points. Prior to using this double check system we caused a 20minute hold up on a Welsh A road being unable to squeeze by an HGV and having to unhitch the van etc.
The important thing to remember is that a satnav is an advisory tool only.
We have two portable satnavs and an out-of-date onboard one. Several times when approaching a cross roads, satnav #1 says go left, #2 says go right and onboard says straight ahead. One classic occasion we managed to visit Versailles four times when trying to circumvent Paris.
Always have a good map with you.The Michelin maps will even show height and width restrictions on a road
