Hi, does anyone know where you get mattress toppers from for bench seats?
The seats in van are very soft with no support and have seen you tube vids on how to use mattress toppers to help. The thing is they are are all to big. Need 1 190x70 and other 180 x 70.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Memory foam mattress toppers can be easily cut to size with a good bread knife or an electric carving knife. You might find that a single one cut down its length may be wide enough for your bench seats but if not, buy a double and you will definitely be able to cut that into the 2 pieces you require.
Alternatively, an upholsterer’s shop will be able to sell you foam of all different densities in any shape or size you want and they will cut it for you.
Hi, we now keep the bench seats turned over permanently as it is more comfy.
Like the look of bed but it's to big as one side is only 180cm and we use them as singles.
We have decided to use 2 dog beds ( the cheap thin ones for homebargins ) and sew them together and place on the big bench cushion for a bit of padding. Not bothered about the single cushion as you can't really sit there anyway with draws in way. We already had dog beds and where going to throw them away so if it doesn't work we haven't lost out.
Thanks for suggestions.
Our last caravan was a Hymer 470, where one single bed was a bit shorter than the other. We used 75cm wide Duvalay compact toppers; marvellous things snd made a world of difference to comfort. On the shorter bed we just folded one end under on the pillow end.
I really miss that van and wish we'd kept the Duvalay toppers to use in our trailer tent.
