Has this small camper car have an EHU hook up facility? If not then something like THIS will be required.

I totally agree. Think carefully before splurging hundreds of pounds on power packs and solar panels, when in reality you might only ever need a mobile mains unit with RCD protection.

Not all mains units are created equal. Have a look at this thread.

I have a power bank battery pack that can recharge my mobile phone more than once. However, it will not recharge my laptop which needs a 130W AC charger.

I don't have a tablet and cannot comment if the said power bank could recharge one.

I had one of those large power pack capable of jump starting a car, and managed to drain it in no time running a thermo-electric cool box from it.

I would advise getting an EHU kit with USB ports so that you could hook up to EHU and charge your laptop (and recharge your power bank) etc. using the site's EHU.

Doesn't take much more to recharge a tablet than it does to charge a mobile phone. That would be no problem.

I would be surprised if a car jump-start pack could power a thermo-electric cool box for more than an hour. They are designed to give a large amperage for a few seconds, rather than a few amps for a longer period. I once flattened a large leisure battery on my boat within a few hours running a cool-box without the engine running.

EHU is definitely the way to go if you want to do more than charge mobiles and run a few LEDs. Anything that involves a heating element is a definite no-no! And that certainly includes thermo-electric cool boxes. I solved the problem on my boat by fitting a compressor fridge, but then we usually had the engine running most days to move on up the river. On the very rare occasion we stopped at a marina we used shore power.

you would need a compressor coolbox , we run that from our van leasure battery however even with a lipo4 battery it will last 3 days tops with no recharge ,so then you need either solar or a split charger in your car . a battery pack would work but you would need a large expensive one to power a fridge .
We never use ehu but we have a split charger in the van .
hope that helps , personally I would camp over the summer and see what you need as you go along

The compressor fridge on the boat we had once ran for a whole week on our battery pack, but it was by mistake. I had forgotten to turn off the battery isolator when we went home. We did have two good 120ah batteries onboard though and the empty fridge obviously had not been opened at all as there was nobody onboard.

You can run a compressor fridge and charge your phone from a leisure battery indefinitely if you have solar panels to put charge back into your battery, you can get some very good portable ones for a couple of hundred pounds.

As for the kettle, use a gas stove unless you are on hook up.
