Ok so im not the lightest of guys (20 stone) and at the age of 64 my knees are giving me issues, I've always used a double airbed for camping but now I'm getting all these aches and pains I want something that is raised, any suggestions must be robust and hopefully not too expensive

Double height king sized airbed is my solution, very robust. I've had the same one for years but it won't fit in my new bell tent due to the centre pole.

Stay away from bestway. Ours couldn't even stay up for one night.

Two can be strapped together. Can use a normal airbed, duvalay or self inflating mat on top. We have had ours for years and still going strong

Argos double height kingsize with pump, no other name.
Just looked and they are now improved with built in pump now.
Had ours about 10 years and it still stays up even with two heavies on it.

Personally, the worst nights sleep i've had when camping in a tent is when using an airbed (other than sleeping on the floor!). There are self inflating mattresses that are miles better in my view. I know that some people will disagree with me on this but I feel pretty confident that a proper investment in a self inflating camping mattress is warmer, more reliable and is less troublesome that trying to nurse an inflatable mattress in to staying inflated, not moulding and keeping you warm.

Not the cheapest raised airbed but the Coleman Extra Durable one does what it says on the box and takes heavier campers 😂 I've got one and its great ..pair it with a teddy bear fitted sheet for cosiness.
