I've got 'Ye Olde' genuine LiLo brand rubberised canvas airbed from the 1960's which is still airtight, despite much use over the decades, but I keep thinking it's gotta let go sooner rather than later, so when going away trust to new(er) modern PVC airbeds which do almost without fail tend to leak to some degree! What kind of crazy logic is that!
I go away with groups of friends, and it's inevitable that somebodies airbed fails, it doesn't seem to matter whether it's a cheap one or an expensive one! It's everything from gone uncomfortably soft overnight with a slow leak, to complete trash with a split seam and explosive decompression!
I bought my current ones from Lidl, they leaked, got them replaced under warranty, and so far so good, the replacements have been OK for a few uses.
I know it's a Marmite subject and there are airbed haters, but I like them, sadly I can't say I have much faith in the modern ones, to the point I take a spare!
