We're off to France this summer and due to the kids getting bigger it's no longer possible to get all the bikes on a towbar mounted bike carrier.
Erdetrailers.co.uk say that it's possible to get 5 adult bikes on the load bars of a 143/153 or 163 camping trailer but I can't find any examples of anyone who's actually done this.
Do any of you here, have any experience or alternative suggests that you could offer.
just been looking at the pictures on erde's web site it only shows 3 being fitted, but going by the spacing of them i would say that if you have 3 bikes facing forward and 2 facing back then they would fit very snuggly
I'd think about hiring bikes in France. It's not that expensive and you'd save on fuel by not lugging your own around.
Obviously if you're super keen on cycling and have lovely bikes this may not be a solution.
Sorry, can't answer the question but I assume you have checked the weight of the cycles and the other contents of the trailer with the carrying capacity.
