Hi, I’m new to the site and I was just looking for some advice.

I’ve just bought the above piece of kit and want to charge it through the mains. I’m not technically minded and find any tech info heavy going.

I’ve read that I need to turn off the X Boost via the App before I can turn the AC power on. What I need to know is do I need to turn the X Boost off before charging the unit up through the mains?

I tried asking Ecoflow this question but the answer left me bewildered.

If anybody can give me some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Andy

What was the answer you were given? One of the tech experts here might be able to explain that instead.
I don’t think it’s a piece of kit that many people have.

2024 = 18 sites / 38 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

X-boost is a way to enable the power station to run things that take more power than the rated power output of the station..

in simple terms it lowers the output voltage down so the station dosnt overload.. the output wattage would not go higher than what the station could handle.. useful in some ways but not all things will handle the lowered voltage..

i dont see how it would effect charging but if they say turn it off maybe its best to do so..

No it will work just fine. When A\c charging it has nothing to do with 3pin plugs on the eccoflow.
You're putting power in not taking it out. Only way it's effected is if your charging and running something plugged into 3pin plug on the eccoflow. But only in that It will just take a bit longer to charge.

Is this the River 2 Max?

Have you tested whether the USB-C output gives out 100W?? I haven't tested that out just yet but that sounds super handy.
