I have a old Humax freesat box and a small T.V. I plan to use in my folding camper. I need a dish with tripod legs. Is that all i need? Is it that simple?
And can anyone recommend a dish with legs at a budget price?
We use a satellite system, but I have never heard of a dish with tripod legs. We have a separate tripod which folds, the dish attaches to this. We take our Sky box from home.
We now stream TV via firestick tethered to our phone but when we used to use satellite, we had a standard small dish, the same as the sort sky used to fit, and a separate tripod.
The trouble with that type of tripod is the legs don't appear to be separately adjustable so it has to be on level ground, it can make it difficult to align the dish if it isn't level.

I use a flat dish and tripod similar to this one https://www.reimo.com/en/camping-shop/camping-tv-satellite-and-multimedia-systems/kathrein-satellite-systems/11288/antenna-set-hds-166?c=1130
yes , we bought the basic suitcase kit, sk35-0, and added a tripod to the kit as our van has ribbed sides the suction mount only worked on the roof, a table (that would need strapping down)or a window or windscreen which is no good if the pitch your on faces the wrong way!. we had the dish up on the tripod in Cornwall during a storm with additional 3 guy ropes and pegs in the legs and it was fine.
