The new Outwell Compact Chair Collection was launched this year and has been designed to meet the needs of all campers who love to be on the move – especially where space and weight are a priority.
The Collection comprises two chairs: the Tryfan and Galtymore. Each is made from a chic two-tone polyester with full soft padding for insulation and comfort. The design allows the seat to be rolled up around the frame to reduce the size of the storage bag – perfect when wanting to conserve storage space at home or during transportation. Each seat is easy to assemble using simple straps.

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We have Helinox chairs - a Sunset and Savannah. They are lighter than the Outwells but, I do like the inclusion of a head pillow and more padded seats. Definitely more portable than the usual fold-up chairs and I'd like to try them out to compare the comfort factor. As usual, Outwell have spotted a 'winner' (like the Dreamboat version of Exped megamats). Shame they only come in grey (dull) but i wouldn't mind winning them!
Making holes in squash balls can also work to spread the load and stop that sinking feeling... We have the groundsheets for our chairs designed for sandy ground but, wonder if having webbing between the squash balls (or lightweight golf balls etc) would do a similar job (for fewer ££ ... given we have Helinox). I'm keen to try them out, who stocks them?
