Hi all.
OK so being disabled I opted to purchase one of these Dometic Kampa air pumps.

Utterly useless.
Loads of noise and not much else.
When you put your finger over the end of the pipe and pressure set to 5 psi it trips out as the pressure is reached.... however the amount of volume of air that comes out of the unit is useless.

So me being me stripped it to find out why.
When you open the head of the pump unit there are 2 little mushroom shaped one way valves. You can see also the diagram and worth checking its condition.....this one's like new.
But the black mushroom one way valves didn't seat properly hence very little air being produced.....a quick spray of silicon lube and hey presto the pump albeit still pathetic does actually work now.

I'm on the lookout for a much faster pump as the dometic on has such a small volume output it will take a considerable amount of time to blow a normal awning up.

Can anyone tell me roughly how long it takes there electric pump to inflate there awning please as I'm still sure my pump isn't giving out enough air.

this is what we use to get the majority of the air in the kampa 400 awing we have, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Electric-Inflate-Deflate-Nozzles-Inflatable/dp/B0B57JCZNM........

takes about 5 mins to get enough air for the awning to stand upright, maybe a couple more mins to bring it to nearly done and then we finish off by hand with a hand pump

We have a Kampa Gale pump and it inflates our air awning to 9 bar in about 5 mins.

As others have said, we find the Kampa Gale pump very good. Yes, when it first starts pumping you think nothing is happening, but the awning suddenly starts to rise. All done in about 5 minutes.

Same as others, my Kampa Gale pump inflates my Rally Air Pro 330 in about 4 or 5 minutes.

Much quicker than the hand pump, and can't really fault it.

It's never going to produce a 'breeze' like an air bed type fan pump, as it's a positive displacement pump designed to give pressure at a specific volume.

Another vote for Kampa Gale here, used to use the manual pump but since getting a Kampa awning that has a single inflation point, it just made more sense to set the PSI, start pumping it up and sit back with a cup of coffee, Job Done ✅

I use a Kampa Gale and at first it seams a waste of time, but its doing its job and it makes life easy as you can help the awing up while it blows it up.
My awning has large bladders and needs about 4psi so it doesn't take long
