Is it essential to use a food grade hose to fill up the tank in a motorhome? We have used one when on a serviced pitch with our caravan but it's not long enough to reach the motorhome, but our garden hosepipe is long enough to fill up on the drive if we are going somewhere with no facilities.

We don't drink the water but it is used for washing and showering.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

I should be fine but to be on the safe side I would be tempted to treat the water tank periodically with Puriclean to destroy any bacteria and any surface clinging bio-film even if you don't drink it. At least you can have a nice clean shower with confidence that no bacteria is being transported through the water system.

We had a food grade pipe and it always seemed to give the water a funny taste.
Bought a length of beer pump pipe and no problems. Also has the advantage of being see through so you can see any potential build up of nasties.
