Thinking about buying a Ninja Electric woodfire.
On offer at the moment with table and carry bag included.
Wattage is 2500kw, would this be too heavy for caravan site EHU?

As I'm sure you found from the other Ninja post, 2.5kW demands 10.5Amps from the EHU, which in itself is not an issue for a 16A EHU supply, BUT most caravans only have a 10A MCB (breaker) covering the 13A mains sockets, so you would be pushing that to it's limits!
Plus, you couldn't use any other heavy demand appliance at the same time, like Microwave, Kettle, Van water heater/heating etc.
Don't think sites like you connecting appliances direct to the EHU, they expect all loads to be connected via your van, that offers a degree of protection from tripping the EHU bollard breaker, as van breakers are lower rated, at least for a 16A EHU.

Our daughter's family bought one last year, used it a few times initially and now it is in a back cupboard and they have reverted back to a charcoal BBQ.

We used one on our last trip. I have an external plug point on the caravan. It worked perfectly with no problems. One thing to bear in mind is the RCD plug it has has to be reset and there should be red showing in the little box then you are good to go. Excellent piece of kit.
